This department is responsible for co-ordinating the citizens advice and attention service in Santa Susanna in terms of individuals, groups and collectives. It also encourages associationism, promotes volunteer forces and pays special attention to home support with teleassistance and home adaptation.
Additionally, it manages dining room subsidies and grants for school books, school camps and school and extra-curricular activities, summer activities, non-contributive disability and retirement pensions, certificates of disability, large family tickets, and all the help and subsidies of the Ministry of Social Well-being of the Government of Catalonia.
Along with other departments, it collaborates in improving the adaptation of the immigrants, the activities of the elderly and the women's collective in Santa Susanna.
Along with the neighbouring populations, it forms part of the Intermunicipal Plan of immigration and the drugs dependency programme, through which activities are organised for children from the town to work on possible problems.
